I heard this recently. People can be dedicated to fighting
for freedom (speech, bearing arms, voting rights.... what have you) and very
passionate about the issue in question. Others claim to be committed. The words
often are used interchangably. A guy said this about it, as it relates to
Soldiers (my line of work for the last 26 years) and how they approach
supporting and defending the Constitution: He said, "Civilians are often
dedicated to the Constitution. Soldiers are committed to it. The same way a
chicken is dedicated to your breakfast but a pig is committed to it.”
